Zoo day AND first ice cream cone

With only a few nice days left we decided to head to the zoo as a family and it was empty and PERFECT! We couldn't have picked a better day it was mid 70's and all the animals were out showing off.

My heart melts

Come on dad hurry up

We even road the train for the first time. Lots of smiles going on for the whole 6 minute ride.... glad we didn't have to pay for the kids lol

Love spending time with my little family. Our girls are just growing up so fast I wish we could spend every day doing what we enjoy as a family making memories.

After we got home we went for our nightly walk but instead of going to the park we walked up to a little ice cream place called Dari Delish and Preslee got her first ice cream cone it was bubblegum flavored :) Zoey got a couple licks to. That girl eats EVERYTHING!!!!

And that wraps up a pretty close to perfect day :)

This is what blogging looks like with Zoey around. P.S. touch screen computers are the devil when you have little ones with sticky little fingers.

Rv Remodel

Matt and I decided to take on a little project of renovating the inside of our RV to make it more livable for our young family. Here is some before pictures. It wasn't in horrible shape. Their was a few holes that needed patched and it looked like Paul Bunyan decorated it ha ha ha. We just couldn't see how our 8 month and 2 year old would stay in their beds on a pull out couch and dinette changed into a bed. There was just NO WAY!

That border had to go!

I found a piece of trim at home depot to match this missing piece.

We decided to take out the dinette and couch so we could fit a mini crib, full size crib and a love seat in comfortably. When we pulled out the couch the old carpet was still underneath it and needed to be replaced to match the rest of the flooring. Luckily their was a left over piece under the bed that we took to 4 different flooring companies to find the match. It just so happened to be "luxury vinyl" thank goodness we only had to pay for one box because that stuff ain't cheap!

I had all ready painted the walls as you can see in this picture.

We also decided to paint the walls and cupboards and replace the old blinds.

During photos....

My "Helpers" :)

Here are some after pictures. Lots of blood, sweat (happened to be high 90's when we started and we didn't have it hooked up to power to run the ac) and tears went into finishing this beauty and i still need to caulk and put up the valences above to 2 doors. I am also playing around with the idea of making curtains.

Still some organizing to be done.

And of course the infamous side by sides.

I love how the lighter color cabinets and walls without hideous wallpaper make it feel so much bigger and cozy. Over all it took us a good 2.5 weeks of working on it in the evenings, weekends and when ever we got a free minute.

If you have any ideas for curtain colors or other options to help darken it up when needed. Please let me know and Happy painting :)
