Me and my cousin Rachelle made these little pilgrims a long time ago like probably more then 15 years ago we have had to make some additions but we use them every year and they are so cute and fun!

Christmas time is here!

Yay for the holidays we Set up our first tree this year! Matt bought it on clearance last year after chirstmas so we got an awesome deal which i love!

Car wreck!

Are car is totaled! Sad day!

We were at a red light one block away from our apartment when it happened. There was a forrunner in front of us, then us, then a S10 pickup behind us and the a F150 plowed its way through all 3 of us! Our car took most of the damage more then $12K worth so it was totaled and we now only have 1 car.

Sense we are without a car my dad let us borrow his mo-ped while we wait for all the insurance stuff to clear up and as we search for a new vehicle.

Isn't he cute on it :)

Its a huge help to have it sense matt is in school and we have completely different work schedules! It is going to start raining soon so hopefully we will get the car situation figured out.

The worst thing about the wreck was matt saw it coming and yelled so i looked at him turning my head to the left at time of impact which messed my neck up bad. I now have to see the chiropractor and massage therapist 2 times a week and it is very time consuming! Hopefully this wont be something i have to live with for the rest of my life! What a pain (pun).

Sauvie's Island 5k

Well we did it. I had a goal of a sub 30 minute 5k but secretly in my head i was really wanting to do it in under 28 minutes but that did not seem reasonable.

The Official Results:

Overall place   94/300   Official time   27:11     Pace 8:45    Age Division 4/8

Matt and i usually run out races together but really he is a lot faster then me so i finally convinced him to run his own race and get the best time he possibly could.

Here is his Official Results:

Overall place  81/300    Official time  25:56    Pace 8:21   Age Division 3/4

It was a awesome race for the both of us we both got personal records which is very exciting and added to our runners high all day!

Looking like i am dieing (felt like i was)

Getting excited the end is near

Runnin hard

Close to the finish
Happy finishers :)

What a great race we will be doing it again next year but probably the half marathon sense its the flattest in the Nw.

Runnin my life away

Last year we ran our first two races. The first one was a 5k in banks and the second was the Warrior Dash which we will do every year for the rest of our lives, we loved it that much!

After our very first 5k

And this was after the muddy warrior dash obviously!

Well sense then we have been dieing to do more races (we kind of got the racing bug) but kind of got lazy and didn't really have the spare money at the time. Well we just signed up for a 4th of July 5k. Our first race of the new year.

So sense we have a race on our calendar we have been running and trying our hardest to get in shape. I don't think i could have picked a better husband to support me in all my crazy ideas of "fun" i have such as training for a half marathon. This 5k is just a stepping stone in our training. We are planning on running a half marathon in October which i am excited and very nervous for.

Tonight i ran 3.5 miles in 36 minutes which isn't all that great but it didn't hurt and i probably could have went farther and harder which is very motivating.

Right now i can only run a mile in 8:47 but i am trying to whittle that down to at least a sub 8 mile.

My 2 mile time is 18:30 which i also would like to cut down a bit.

For the 4th of July 5k i would LOVE to run it in sub 30!
So there is a few of my goals at this point we will see where it goes from here. Wish me luck!

Work, School, Work

Well life never seems to slow down these days, and it doesn't look like it is going to anytime soon. Matt and I both have been very busy with work school and our callings at church.
Matt's first day of school (I'm a proud wife)

Matt is currently working at Walgreens as a cashier part time and is shifts don’t really work well with mine so some days we don’t really see each other much. (Not very fun) He is also taking a math class at PCC trying to get ready to apply to be an Electrician with a guy from our ward at church. At church he is now in the 3 year old Sunbeams class with me. I sure hope we never have quadruplet boys. (Knock on wood)

I on the other hand am still a receptionist at American Precision Industries. (Machine shop)  http://apiams.com/. It’s a 8-4:30 job which i love still leaves plenty of time in the day for other activities. I also recently became a Independent Scentsy Consultant. https://wicklessrusk.scentsy.us/Scentsy/Home I was trying to decide whether or not this was something i wanted to do at this point at my life because I really don’t have a house to have home parties in or anything like that. The deciding factor was that it would really help pay for matt's schooling and that I LOVE Scentsy and so what if i may be my biggest customer; )

Arizona

Well this weekend was my old roommate Haylee's wedding. I flew on thursday to Arizona with my other roommate Mckenna. It was so nice to get caught up on everything that has been going on in our crazy lives! We talked the whole time non-stop it was great!

As soon as we got there we headed to Haylee's bachlorette party. Lots of food, cake and presents ; ) The weather there was so incredibly nice! 90's the entire time we were there.

White Pass

What a fun filled snowboarding, card playing weekend! We headed up to white pass for my dads Ice sculpting event. It sure brought back memories. In 2010 we went up to white pass for this same event and Matt and I had only been dating for about a week. This is were we really started to get to know each other. Then in 2011 we weren't able to go because we were getting married! We missed snowboarding but it was for a good reason ; )
I was kind of fighting a headache which was a little bit of a bummer... Thankfully i was able to "rest" by staying inside the first day we were there and play cards with my mother. We are the masters of speed, and nertz!

The next few days we helped with the ice carving and we snowboarded of course.

Matt and Tyler

Matt and I, It was so nice out this day.

The weather got really nice towards the last couple days and it was so clear and beautiful. This is just a sneak peak of how nice it was.

For some reason i don't have any of the ice carving pictures on my camera. I will have to still some from my mom later.

There was some guys from Subaru that were giving out hats and they hooked my family up. Here is Matt and I modeling some of them lol.

Cant wait to go back next year!

1 Year Anniversary

I can not believe it has all ready been a whole year sense i married my best friend for time and all eternity. We have truly been so blessed this last year with jobs,  career opportunities, with new friends, and with our love growing each and every day.
We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate it at the beach. On Friday we left town for Lincoln city, we stayed at the Seahorse inn which is where we stayed the night we were married. In the morning we went to Tanger mall and of course had to stop at Matts favorite store. NIKE!
After we had our fun in Lincoln city we decided to start heading for Seaside to check in to our hotel and go out for our anniversary dinner. We stopped at the Tillamook cheese factory, and of course had to get some cheese and take a picture in the bus :)
After we got to seaside we checked in at walked around on the boardwalk. Then decided we would head to dinner at the Twisted fish. We were seated but ignored for a good half an hour and we were starving so we got up and went next door to Pig n' Pancake, not exactly what we were planning but hey it worked out just fine.

It ended up being a great anniversary get away just what we needed to get away from our hectic lives.
